About Vijon

Who would have thought that a young 4-year old boy who was on the verge of losing his hearing would have lived to become a musician and artist. Born into a Christian family in Kingston, Jamaica, Vijon’s musical journey started early. Drawn to the instruments at church, Vijon started classical piano at 5 years old. After tenuous teens years of battling internally with his faith, he made a serious recommitment to Christ at 17 years old. A deep passion for music was restored and he also made a commitment to God to always use his talents for God’s glory.

Heavily influenced by Hip Hop/Rap music in the 1990’s and early 2000’s, Vijon has a unique delivery mixing both Hip Hop and Reggae/Dancehall styles in his music. His content is eclectic, addressing social issues, relationships, and no doubt – his faith. He has shared the stage with artists such as Da’ T.R.U.T.H., Json, Richie Righteous, Stephen The Levite, Positive, Rizon, and Blessed Messenger. Vijon’s first official solo single ‘Till That Day’ feat. Ariana (Petrena) Whyte was released in 2013. Since then, Vijon has continued to release music, despite facing numerous health challenges over the years. Some of his other notable songs include ‘We Still Believe’, ‘One Gone Is Too Many’ feat. Dunamis Reignz and ‘If My People’ feat. Shelley-Anne Foster.

Vijon remains determined to use his gifting for Christ and his hope is that his listener is not only entertained, but is lifted spiritually and empowered to walk by faith.
